Serene Surroundings Behavioral Home houses individuals who meet our facility’s eligibility requirements.

Admission Criteria

• Chemically dependency: male or female age 24 and above
• The substance is taken in large amounts or over a longer period than was intended
• The individual spends a great deal of time seeking ways to obtain and use
• The individual expresses no interest in social and occupational activities
• Drinks excessively and lacks the ability to stop
• Individuals with at least one area of significant risk of harm
• Example: suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or a danger to others
• Demonstrates impulsive tendencies with poor judgment
• Inability to care for themselves due to mental health crises
• Inability to independently self-administer necessarily prescribed psychotropic medications even after extensive educating
• Seriously Mental Illness (SMI) individuals
• Member agrees to participate in treatment

We offer goal-directed activities to our residents like cycling, walks, gym memberships, fishing, and cooking competitions in groups. We also take them to movies and celebrate special occasions and holidays.
